Feeling empty? Is there a void in your life? I have been there.
I remember when I felt that way, I thought of everything that could fill me up. If I get that job, get married, have children, be successful and have a lot of money, I’d be happy. Guess what, I got everything I wanted and beyond, and still somehow was not truly fulfilled. I was content for a quick minute but then I needed something more. What a wonderful life to have a beautiful family, live in a beautiful house, drive beautiful cars, go on extravagant vacations…. How could I not feel fulfilled? Well it took some tough lessons to learn that nothing in this world can fulfill the yearning of my soul. I compare it to a tire with a leak. Sure you can still manage to drive your car with a tire in that condition, but you constantly have to stop and put air in that tire. You can never stop putting air in that tire and it’s a constant annoying thing to have to fill it up every other day. The only way to end that is to get a brand new tire. Well, after filling my life with everything imaginable, material things, I got to the point where I realized that my tire, needed to just be replaced with a brand new one! I let God take control of my life and he didn’t fill my tire with air, he instead gave me an entirely new one. The leaking tire was replaced with a new one that didn’t need to be filled with air everyday. The bible says that God is the fountain of life (Psalms 36:9) We can thirst for everything imaginable in this life, and when we get it, we are not satisfied. But when we turn our lives over to Jesus, He quenches our thirst. John 4:13-14, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” With God in our lives, Antonio and I have become so full of joy. The blessings that I already had but didn’t quite appreciate are now so fulfilling. With Christ in our lives, our house is now a HOME and our children are such blessings. The little things that I overlooked everyday are so beautiful to me now. God is the ONLY one who can fill the void you feel. His perfect opportunity to fill us is when we are “empty”. In our emptiness, he fills us with everlasting, unconditional, love. He is ready to rebuild you and make you feel fulfilled… you just have to ask! From my heart to yours, Sonia

Feb 8th, 1996 is the day I lost my role-model and the most influential man I've ever had in my life. From that day forward my life would never be the same. So much has happened in 18 years... my one person to have dinner with (here or gone) is right here. My brother Chris Daniels. I'd give anything to have him meet and spend time my wife and daughters. His sister in law and nieces. I've learned 3 things from his untimely passing. 1. It's Ok to be upset at God, he's a big God and can take it. 2. Bad things can sometimes happen to good people. 3. Don't live w/regret. Tell your loved ones how loved and cherished they truly are while we can. Tomorrow is promised to none of us. I know we've got a gentle 6'10" soul watching over us from heaven. You are truly missed and loved beyond compare big brother. We love and miss you, Chris.
