I find it amazing how the Lord finds ways to inspire and open our eyes. As a parent my heart was touched and convicted by our nine year old daughter Jada who came home from school with a confession.
"These boys were making fun of the girls and being mean to us. I told them that you would talk about them on the radio if they didn't leave us alone," she told us. She knew she was wrong for what she said to them and bringing "daddy" into the situation. We explained how proud of her we were for telling us. "That's the Holy Spirit convicting you baby girl," we responded. I never want her to feel like her earthly father isn't there to protect her at any cost. It's more important that she please and obey her spiritual father. This morning as we prayed in a circle before school Jada begins to pray with tears of conviction running down her face. Her tears spoke to me... this is how I'm to feel when I disobey my father, this is how I'm to feel when I let pride get in the way of doing or saying what's right. Jada decided to apologize to the boys today because she let her FATHER down. It pleases "daddy" that our nine year old is allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and convict her. "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from sins and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven". -Matthew 18:3 Antonio Daniels
